Food Stamps

Since the implementation of the policy of unified purchase and marketing of grain in China in 1953, grain stamps have been officially used as a national voucher for purchasing grain or dining. It was not until the beginning of 1993 that grain stamps ended their historical mission with the abolition of the policy of unified purchase and marketing of grain, withdrew from the circulation market, and became a grain history book.

Zibo City has successively produced two editions of food stamps with a total of 15 ticket types, the 1990 version is divided into two types: fine grain stamps and coarse grain stamps, and the 1991 version is changed to all fine grain stamps. As a part of Zibo's grain history, although all grain stamps have been withdrawn from circulation, as a certificate closely related to people's lives, endowed with special historical missions, and with distinctive characteristics of the times, grain stamps have played a major role in ensuring military and civilian food, social prosperity and political stability. We are fortunate to have it stored in its entirety and compiled into a book as a souvenir.
